Exceptional Performances Earn Katy ISD Students Top Honors

From the track to the tennis court to the swimming pool, three Katy ISD student-athletes stood out for their exceptional performances and leadership this year.
Adam Carter of Katy High School was named Male Athlete of the Year for his dominance in football and track and field. A three-time state medalist and record holder in shot put and discus, Adam will continue his athletic career at Texas State University.
Female Athletes of the Year are Ananya Sriniketh of Tompkins High School and Janey Campbell of Seven Lakes High School. Ananya, a four-time district tennis champion and state singles champion, will attend Claremont McKenna College. Janey, a varsity athlete in both swimming and track and field, capped her high school career with a state title in shot put. She is headed to the University of Michigan.
Katy ISD congratulates these outstanding student-athletes for their achievements on the field and in the classroom.
