Many of the school zones are already activated. Let's get in the practice of slowing down! And make plans to give yourself extra time as you head out next week. Traffic will be heavy and we haven't had to take that into consideration over the summer.

Also, watch for children that are walking or riding their bikes to school. Slow down at all cross walks and intersections, and stay vigilant.

Especially if you are headed EAST. That bright sun in the morning can be very blinding. Also, at crosswalks. Kids tend to step off the sidewalk instead of staying on the sidewalk. There are many areas that do not have patrols at the intersections.
