Katy ISD COVID-19 Testing Center has transitioned to be the Katy ISD Wellness Center, which will now offer expanded health services to students and staff. The student appointment scheduler can now be accessed via the Wellness Center button on the Katy ISD homepage. Check out the FAQs for this new service below.
 
The Katy ISD Wellness Center (formerly the COVID-19 Testing ​Center), offers Katy ISD students and staff members access to free COVID-19 testing, as well as other services available to employee health plan participants.

Hours:​
 
Monday- Friday: 7 a.m.- 5 p.m. (Open Monday, January 17, 2022)​
 
​​​Saturday: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
 
Reminder: Patrons must be in line to receive a COVID-19 test by 4 p.m.
(one hour prior to the 5 p.m. test site closure).

STUDENT APPOINTMENTS
 
Are COVID-19 test appointments required for Katy ISD students and students from neighboring school districts?
 
Yes. Students must schedule an appointment via the Katy ISD Student appointment scheduler below. The Student Testing Appointment Scheduler is updated on Sunday evenings at 5 p.m.
 
Are appointments required for Katy ISD students to receive other services offered at the Wellness Center?

Are appointments required for Katy ISD employees and their eligible dependents to receive a free COVID-19 test?​​
 
No. Staff and their eligible dependents in the Katy ISD health insurance plan are walk-in only.​
 
​Who is eligible to receive a free COVID-19 test at the Katy ISD Wellness Center?​
 
To receive a free COVID-19 test at the Katy ISD Wellness Center, one of the following eligibility requirements must be met:
 
*All Katy ISD employees are eligible for a free COVID-19 test. A Katy ISD identification badge is required.
 
*Katy ISD employee dependents (spouse and/or children) covered by the Katy ISD health insurance plan are eligible for a free COVID-19 test. A Katy ISD health insurance card is required that includes the names of all insured dependents.
 
​*Katy ISD enrolled students are eligible for a free COVID-19 test. A student must present their Katy ISD identification badge. Student ID information is available via the Home Access Center (HAC).
 
I am a current Katy ISD employee, am I eligible for a free COVID-19 test?
 
Yes. ALL Katy ISD employees with a current 2021-2022 staff ID are eligible for a free COVID-19 test. Katy ISD employees do not have to be insured by the Katy ISD health plan to receive a free COVID-19 test.
 
Are students enrolled in Katy ISD schools eligible for a free COVID-19 test?
 
Yes. Students enrolled in Katy ISD and any other neighboring school district are eligible for a free COVID-19 test. Students are required to bring a current 2021-2022 student ID. Katy ISD enrolled students may access the Home Access Center (HAC) for a copy of their student ID.
 
Are facial coverings required at the Wellness Center?
 
​Yes. Facial coverings are required when entering the Wellness Center. It is recommended when waiting in line (outside) for the COVID-19 test, patrons wear facial coverings and social distance.​​
