HEB morton ranch has decently tall canna lilies for only $1.27!!

Wow! I have to stop by for a prescription after work. I hope they still have some.

@Fiona: i was gonna get the $5 ones but a worker stopped me saying she just marked down a bunch to 1.27

It says lillies so I assume these are plants, correct?

I saw able to find 2. With a little TLC they will be beautiful!

One was orange and goldish/yellow but didn't have a tad, the other was called Carol's Yellow. Really pretty! And yes, thank you for sharing.

Cannas are easy to take care of in a flowerbed. They do multiply, so plant them where they have room to spread.
We love cannas!!

@kvzsmith: i do too honestly lol ive ended the lives of many plants this year whether they're from seeds or already well established lol!! But these lilies are easy to keep alive

@AJ: yes my goodness they are self seeding I think!!

They spread by rhizomes (tubers) under ground. When I have to thin my cannas, I find neighbors and friends that want canna rhizomes. Great way to get other colors, too. Plus, Cannas do come in several different heights. Cannas die down in the Winter, but come back up in the Spring.

@kvzsmith : You will do great with these. As discussed above, they grow like crazy. I had one a few years ago and when I planted it, it went dry and flopped over. Now I regret putting it where I did because they multiplied and grew so tall, they are beautiful! I also share them with my friends and neighbors. I shouldn't have gotten the other ones from HEB, but I can never pass up a great deal on plants.
