JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR

Summary statement of duties: The Maintenance Coordinator is in charge of ensuring all campus buildings and grounds are in good repair and have a well-kept appearance. This employee must be
able to perform maintenance of buildings and grounds, including semi-skilled carpentry,
plumbing, electrical, and other repair work that does not specifically require a licensed
professional, e.g., electrician or plumber.
Qualifications:
• Dedicated Christian
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, painting, lawn care, plumbing and electrical.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding job that includes heavy lifting, moving heavy objects, climbing ladders, and standing for periods of time.
• Ability to organize tasks efficiently, completing them in a timely manner.
• Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be flexible, available, and dependable.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of previous or related work experience.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License

• Business Manager
Responsibilities:
• Setup up, arrange, and take down tables and chairs for meetings, classes, and special events.
• Basic plumbing maintenance and repair.
• Basic carpentry installation and repair, including furniture assembly.
• Basic painting and dry wall repair.
• Basic building maintenance including installing smoke/fire alarms and changing batteries, testing lighting systems weekly, replacing light bulbs, fuses, starters and diffusers, maintaining thermostats, and exterior timers for lights and sprinklers.
• Address all work orders from people using the building within the next business day and work to solve any problems with the Business Manager that cannot be fixed immediately.
• Maintain all outdoor spaces on the campus by performing exterior janitorial duties (i.e. trash pickup, window cleaning, etc.), watering grass, plants and flowers.
• Ensure clear, safe pedestrian access to the church property and buildings.
• Board up broken windows or doors in the event of break-ins or vandalism.
• Conduct routine inspections of the premises and update Business Manager of major issues with interior or exterior facilities, including climate control, damages or pest infestation problems.
• Routinely check church vehicles ensuring they are in good working condition, clean, refueled as needed, providing receipts for any fuel or repairs to the Business Manager.
• Obtain supplies needed for repairs, maintenance, etc. with approval of Business Manager.
• Assist Business Manager with overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary
• Assist custodians as needed.
• Other duties as assigned
